Handling

• Do not taste or swallow. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using.
• Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
• Avoid release to the environment.

Personal protective equipment

• Hands: appropriate chemical-resistant gloves
• Eyes: chemical goggles, plus a face shield if splashing is possible
• Body: appropriate chemical-resistant clothing
• Feet: appropriate protective footwear
• Respiratory: an approved respirator if ventilation does not keep airborne concentrations to an acceptable level
• Ventilation: explosion-proof general and local exhaust ventilation; good general ventilation of about 10 air changes per hour

Storage

Store locked up, in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame, and prevent electrostatic charge build-up by bonding and grounding. Store in the original tightly closed container, in an area equipped with sprinklers, away from incompatible materials.

Incompatible materials

Strong oxidizing agents. Acids. May be corrosive to aluminium, lead, zinc and zinc brasses when in solution; flammable hydrogen may be generated from contact with metals such as aluminium.
