MOOV 400 SQFT CARTRIDGE FILTER

$1,599.00
  • Brand: Moov

Moov describes its MCF cartridge filters as combining superior water filtration with ease of operation and corrosion-free construction. They are designed for continuous or intermittent operation, for installation above or below the pool waterline, and for fresh or saltwater swimming pools and spas, using reusable reinforced-polyester filter cartridge elements to provide a high degree of water clarity and long filter cycles with minimum care. The high-resistance body is rated to 50 psi, the “easy lock” latch makes opening the filter simple, and the cartridge filters down to 3 microns.

Key Features
  • Filters down to 3 microns
  • “Easy lock” latch for quick opening and cartridge changes
  • High-strength body rated to 50 psi
  • Reusable, reinforced polyester cartridge elements
  • Corrosion-free construction — suitable for fresh or saltwater pools and spas
  • Manual air relief valve, pressure gauge and drain plug fitted
How to Use
  1. Before starting the pump, check that the upper and lower filter bodies are properly secured with the lock ring, that the air relief valve is in the LOCK position, and that no components are missing or damaged.
  2. Close the filter drain (the drain plug requires its O-ring seal).
  3. Open all system valves so water can flow from the pool to the filter and back to the pool.
  4. Place the air relief valve in the OPEN position, then start the pump — stand clear of the filter during start-up.
  5. Return to the filter and close the air relief valve only once a steady stream of water (not air) escapes from it.
  6. Record the initial start pressure with a clean element in place, and set the gauge START arrow to that reading.
  7. Clean the cartridge element when the gauge reads past the Clean Filter mark. Replace the element when, after cleaning, pressure is 25 psi above the initial start reading or over 40 psi, when the element is broken or the layer peels off, or when pressure or flow falls below the system's desired rate.
Warranty

Moov states a 2-year warranty on parts for the MCF400.

Additional Information

Winterising: in areas where sub-freezing temperatures are expected the filter must be drained. Remove and clean the cartridge, reinstall it, fully tighten the lock ring for storage, reassemble the filter, and leave the drain plug unattached through the winter to avoid cracking the filter body. Moov's suggested pool chemistry for these filters: pH 7.2–7.8, total alkalinity 80–120 ppm, calcium hardness 200–400 ppm, combined chlorine 0.2 ppm maximum, stabilized chlorine 1.0–3.0 ppm, cyanuric acid 60–80 ppm.

Can be back ordered — most arrive in 1–4 weeks.
