• The heat pump must be installed by a pool professional — depending on your province this may be an HVAC technician or an electrician. Warranty is voided otherwise. It must be hard wired; no plug is allowed, and the unit must be grounded.
• Install outdoors in a well-ventilated location, with the frame bolted (M10) to a solid concrete foundation or a strong, rust-treated bracket. Do not install it in a confined or poorly ventilated space.
• Keep at least 20 in of clearance around the entire unit and no less than 39.4 in on the air outlet to prevent recirculation of discharged air. Moov advises against placing the unit under eaves, decks or porches.
• Keep the water pipe run between pool and heat pump to 393.7 in (about 10 m) or less, and connect with hard pipe — the water unions cannot carry the weight of soft pipes.
• A separate circulation pump is required (supplied by the user); match it to the water circulation flow figure above, with a maximum lift of at least 393.7 in.
• Fit the drainage nozzle under the unit and pipe the condensation away.
• Always run the water pump before the heat pump starts and turn the water pump off after the heat pump is off.
• Moov recommends an 85°F setpoint. Press and hold the unlock key for 3 seconds to unlock the screen before using any other button.
• When the ambient temperature falls below 3°C, switch off the main power and drain the water from the heat exchanger.

Moov publishes 3 years labour, 5 years parts and 10 years on the heat exchanger for the Moov Inverter range. The warranty begins at the time of purchase (with documentation, at the time of installation if that is delayed) and is valid only on first install. Moov will not approve claims for heat exchangers broken by improper winterisation, damage from meteorological "act of god" events, units not installed by an appropriate technician, or dissatisfaction with efficiency — which varies with outdoor temperature, target temperature, air flow, sun, humidity, pool size and the distance of the unit from the pool.

Moov states this product works well with water temperature 80–104°F and air temperature 32–109°F; efficiency is not guaranteed outside that range and performance varies with conditions.
