Directions published by the manufacturer for a bromine hot tub:

1. At start-up, fill your tablet dispenser with 5–6 brominating tablets for hot tubs and adjust the opening to maintain a continuous level of 3.0–5.0 ppm bromine through the week.
2. Each week, re-fill the tablet dispenser with 5–6 tablets to keep a bromine reading of 3.0–5.0 ppm.

Target water balance for a bromine hot tub: bromine 3.0–5.0 ppm, pH 7.4–7.6, Total Alkalinity 100–120 ppm. Always read and follow the product label, which takes precedence over any guidance here.

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep in a dry place and in properly labelled containers. Avoid extremes of temperature and direct sunlight, and protect from moisture.

Incompatible materials

Strong acids and bases. Ammonia. Calcium hypochlorite. Combustible material. Reducing agents. Do not mix with other swimming pool or spa chemicals in their concentrated forms. Thermal decomposition can release toxic and corrosive gases and vapours.
